One thing I know for sure is that there is no right or wrong way to do this shit-life. I know for sure that Shamari has all the tools that needs to live his best life. As long as he continues to allow his heart to be his guide, he’ll be Gucci. When he allows others to influence and move him away from his passions, stress sets in. Things become inauthentic; they become chores. Life doesn’t have to be hard. Just trust yourself, at least that’s what I’ve learned--that’s what I know for sure. I’ve never let myself down all these years, so Imma keep betting on me. And I’m not saying that others cannot help, I think that they can and they should--life is so much easier when you share, but I’m just saying that it’s important to listen to that innervoice, in tandem with the opinions and assertions of others. That is what true liberation is. When we can all express ourselves in ways that feel real without the fear of being judged, ostracized, or made to feel that we don’t matter by other people. When Black people can be Black people and “make it” without the necessity to conform to White ideals..that’s what I want. When Shamari can be Shamari and everyone else is ok with it..wouldn’t that be cute? Well, even if it’s not, Imma do it anyways because it’s really the only thing I know how to do. #getinFormation
